The Adventurous Fool
It truly is a potent time for new adventures! Not only did we just travel through an incredible eclipse portal of release and rebirth in March, but April (a month holding the first zodiac sign of Aries) begins with Fool’s Day! April Fools Day invites mischievousness and laughter, yet to me, it’s a day that also holds other sacred energies so well-aligned to these recent portals of rebirth, I feel it’s worth reflecting on.
But first, a behind-the scenes story…
An old ancestral energy of “curiosity killed the cat” arose in an Energy Insights session. Deep within the client’s unconscious memory, was a fear that curiosity was incredibly risky. At some point in history, this energy was needed for safety, yet for this person, at this time, the energetic imprint blocked their intuitive abilities. This led me to reflect on curiosity…
Curiosity is the gateway to hearing the voice of your Higher Self and accessing the guidance of your own inner compass. Curiosity invites wonder to blossom and grow, and while it may ask for endings or vulnerability, ultimately curiosity OPENS DOORS!
In Tarot, the Fool is the first card of the healer’s journey. It’s literally ground zero, the great void of possibility, and a jumping off point for adventure. The Fool is not (as judged by many) a naïve, lost, and hopeless being, the Fool is a master of Spirit. The Fool lives completely in the present moment and embodies curiosity to guide a new beginning. The Fool accepts fear, walks away from old stories, and most importantly, does this without the need to KNOW where they are going or HOW they will get there.
The Fool steps off that cliff with TRUST. Trusting that a rainbow bridge of support will form as they take each step. Trusting they are benevolently guided and protected.
The Fool is no spiritual bypasser though; no, far from it. They’ve completed similar journeys before and know deep within that despite challenges along the way, they will receive everything they need when they need it. Mistakes will be made, but because they don’t take themselves too seriously, they can dust themselves off and keep going! They balance both feminine energy to receive guidance, and masculine energy to take action by stepping forward with creativity, curiosity, a light heart, and unwavering TRUST.
This month I invite you to welcome in the energy of the Great Fool! Let go, and have the audacity to blindly trust (the universe, yourself) that in doing so, you are creating something new and wonderful one step at a time.
